Daisy Jones and the Six (2023)
#1
It's kind of a faux documentary about a fake band from the late sixties/ early seventies, their rise and fall. Ep01 is all about the rise. We meet Daisy Jones who is a wild child hanging out on the Sunset Strips and seeing all the bands of that era. Meanwhile the Six are in Pittsburgh becoming a band, playing weddings, bar Mitzvahs and school dances. By the end of the episode the band has made the decision to go to LA where all the bands are. Daisy, meanwhile has proved to herself she can be a singer.

The whole thing has a very familiar feel to it. I didn't see anything especially revelatory about the story at this point but it is well done. And it has Elvis's granddaughter playing Daisy Jones. The one thing that is odd is that you have the old folks playing the young kids and some of them definitely don't look young.

But it's fine. I'm waiting for the lawsuit when Stevie Nicks sues Daisy Jones because she has stolen her look.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
