Out there someone has crossed a line and I don't think they are coming back. The following was in a review for a Patricia Briggs novel
Quote:A great feel for werewolf, vampire, and fae politics - without being preachy.
How can the above possibly be? When did we get werewolf, vampire and fae politics?

Fay Politiks is the name of her protagonist.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Maybe I should just do reviews of reviews?
Quote:I finished all five of these books ages ago and I can't wait for the 6th. They all have great action and a great story too but just so you know by the time you are done with them theres a good chance you will want to join the Marine Corps after. I know I do now. I may enlist in a year or so but everyone is different. It was funny one of the characters in the series after enlisting he gets into boot camp and the class number is 4239. Same as my address that freaked me out a little. Anyways you can not just get the first book. You have to get these 3 then the 2 in the next triligy or else you're just wasting your time.

I have the same feeling. It always seems to me that if a product is being released, any product, that someone from the sales department goes to Amazon and writes a review. Or the friends of authors. I don't put a lot of credence into those reviews. Unless they are uniformly bad.

H. E.'s lawyer just called.
That's E as in Ellison.
He always calls about this time of year to wish Lady Cranefly a happy birthday.
Don't ask me.

What gives? Are you going to give us the HE story or not! I love him but he is insane. And if he torments one of the brotherhood, I'd like to know more about it.

H. E.'s lawyer called again this evening. This time, dutiful servant that I am, I gave the phone to the Lady.
Apologies, but enlightenment is not mine to share.

H.E.'s lawyer used to work for military intelligence. The things he knows, the things he's seen.
The things he's done.
When he goes through an airport, he knows he'll be body searched, as well as all his luggage. Because his name pops up on lists as someone with knowledge. He is blackmail material. Other countries would like to know what he knows, and some would stoop to blackmail to get it.
So he is held up to close scrutiny wherever he goes.
Which is most everywhere. He is a world traveler.
And an athlete.
In the military, he ran the mile and a half in six minutes and fifteen seconds. That comes out to just over a 4-minute mile sustained for a mile and a half.
He talks knowledgeably about everything. He knows everything.
While I am a dust mote on the tip of Pinnochio's nose in the House of Lies with flames shooting out my ears.
The phone call lasted 5 and half hours.
Imagine how far he could have run in that time?
Around the fucking earth three times at least.
