Adam Sandler stars in a dramatic role as a basketball scout for the Philadelphia Seven Sixers. Sandler plays Sandy Sugarman who's been on the road too long and wants to stay in one place with his wife Queen Latifah. He almost gets his chance but bad things happen and he is back on the road. He finds a phenom. But problems occur. It almost has the same plot as the Air Up There that starred me, I mean, Kevin Bacon. It's a pretty predictable film but solidly made. The main draw is that they got almost everyone related to professional basketball, players and coaches, to be in the movie as themselves.
It's a good little drama, nothing spectacular, but the story is well told. Plus, Shaq, Charles Barkley, Dirk Nowitski, et al.
