I liked her in Orphan Black and Perry Mason (HBO). I hope they give her good material and this doesn't turn into a something Shrek-ish...

I started following Jameela's IG after watching The Good Place. She's funny and politically charged. I think she'll make a great villainness (she was somewhat a villainness in TGP).

Every sdcc lamppost banner had she-hulk ads.
Every single one.

Gotta wonder how much that ad campaign costs. And what happens to all those banners when it’s over?

It occurred to me today that in the not too distant future, we might see a film with a $500 million budget.

Ep01 That was a bit of all right. Most of the half hour episode can be seen in the trailers. They use a lot of quick dialogue to explain a lot of things I wanted more understanding from. Wait! That's all it takes to get powers? Wait! She can control those powers easily? There were some funny discussions. There was a fight that had little to no motivation other than lets seem them fight. Lots of talk about being a woman that I could see the Queen nodding along to in agreement.
I was hoping they would drop a couple of episodes, but they only released the one. It flew by. I'm anxiously waiting for Ep02 to see scenes that weren't in the trailer.

The origin story was a bit weak. The breaking the fourth wall wasn't necessary. The burping green people seemed like a throwback to shrek. I'm hooked on Tatania so I'll keep watching. I hope this is a vehicle for greater success for her.

I think Tatiana will do all right. She does have Orphan Black and Perry Mason under her belt.

Amused and entertained. Agree overall (nice Shrek reference - can’t unthink that now).
Only about a half hour long so quick and to the point. I liked the funny bits and while some of the same questions crossed my mind ( it for long because I don’t spend too much time thinking about the mcu because that’s just silly) but the biggest question is what’s up with Jameela? I’ll keep watching to find out. I’m in. Footnote on Jameela - she just voiced Wonder Woman in League of the super pets. That’s right. She entered the MCU & the DCEU in the same month.

Ep 02 I spent a good portion of the show trying to get The Queen trying to remember who Annihilation was. (Does anyone else get Tim Roth and Gary Oldman confused?) And that seemed like a really short episode. But again, it's the MCU comedy half-hour. But what happened to Jamilla Jamal? I thought she would play a bigger role. But that is probably coming.
But diverting. But really short. I thought the end credits were the title credits finally rolling. There is an after credits scene. Good to see Mark Linn Baker from Perfect Strangers getting some work.

(08-26-2022, 09:05 AM)Greg Wrote: But again, it's the MCU comedy half-hour. I tend to view the bulk of the MCU as comedies. Action comedies, but the comedy is the main thing. I'll get around to this next week. Deep in the Den of Geek world rn, and I don't cover the MCU for them. I'm not qualified because my geekdom doesn't cover comics...
