I know what I'm watching tomorrow. Or at least this weekend.

Time has passed. I've forgotten things. I think.
The trailer had a lot of explanation.

Well, that was enjoyable, mostly because the lead (who also directs) Matthias Schweighöfer is really entertaining. It's really kind of a character piece about a lonely guy who just happens to be very good at opening safes. Yes, this the prequel for Army of the Dead and there are a lot of references to it. This is the backstory to the big safe they have to open in the casino in Zombie filled Las Vegas. There is a lot of use of looking inside the locks to see the pins fall in the safes. I guess the alternative was just to show Matthias with his ear pressed against the safes.
The ending was kind of weak. I thought they might throw a twist but they didn't. But it all comes down to Matthias. But I'm having a bit of a brain fog. In the credits, the character is listed as Ludwig Dieter. But I swear he had a different name throughout the film. There are many references to the fact he had an unpronounceable last name. And I believe Ludwig Dieter is the alias that the character wants to use. I could go back and watch the film again to get to the bottom of the mystery.
