The Prisoner: A Day in the Life by Hank Stine
#1
This is one of those novelizations of a show. It's not very good. The author relies heavily on dialog to tell the story. The chapters are usually only a page or two so it's easily digested. Stine is a bit heavy handed on his take about the show. He negotiates topics like unmutualism, 6's fiancee Janet, and that he's really John Drake of Danger Man. #6 is busted for marijuana, which doesn't quite go anywhere, then he's back in London assassinating his old handlers (it's implied that they are bots) then he's back in the Village. It tries to be self referential and play with the motifs of the show, but if falls short.

And the music is wrong. White Rabbit? I luv that song but it's not The Prisoner.
