Sturgill Simpson presents SOUND & FURY

I gather Simpson is a popular country musician who delivered a hard rock album in 2019 upon which this is based. It’s the album set to some post apocalyptic samurai punk anime that harkens back to the classic days of Heavy Metal or Aeon Flux (the anime not the film which I struggled to finish because it was such a live action travesty compared to the original that not even beloved Charlize could save). I enjoyed the rocking tracks until the last few which regressed into more of a country vibe. This was just the sort of show that DM et.al. might have gotten stoned and watched the hell out of. It was very nostalgic even though it was new. It’s a netflixer about 40 mins. Visual & audial candy.
