Pete Davidson plays Pete Davidson in a movie about Pete Davidson growing up on Staten Island. No mention is ever given to why he is the King. Maybe it's more like a Regency since Davidson lives with his mom, despite being 24
When Pete was young, his fire fighting dad died while fighting a fire. From this incident stems all of his Davidson's problems. And this is a 2 hour plus look at all the problems Davidson is going through. He's got ADHD. He spends the day getting high but the pot's not affecting him anymore. He's on anti-depressants. Probably the worst part is that he has Marisa Tomei for a mom but he's still not Spiderman.
The movie is one big wallow in self pity. And for most of the movie, it looks like Pete will never get out of the self pity pit.
I was hoping for a few laughs from this Judd Apatow movie but it's never funny. It never rises above depression. I should have stuck to my guns about wondering why people like Pete Davidson.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
