Criterion put out a fancy True Stories DVD re-release and they simultaneously put out the soundtrack in its original form for the first time. When the movie came out, there was a Talking Heads album of the same name, that had the songs from the movie, but sung by the band. Also released was a “Sounds from True Stories” that had the incidentals music from the film (with some great pieces like “Brownies theme”, “Road Song”, and one by Kronos Quartet).
