For a documentary that I knew how it was going to end, this was extraordinarily tense. Downright vertiginous. Stunning cinematography and I liked how the filmmakers became a part of the story because getting that footage was ridiculous. Some of the private moments between Alex and his gf seemed staged upon reflection, but that's my insider take being a reality TV star and all. Definitely a big screen film, if you're into this.

I haven't seen the film. But I know that guy is nuts.
On our most recent trip into the park, for the first time we noticed all the lights of the climber camps hanging off the face of El Capitan.

Truly nuts. They do a cat scan and find Alex’s amigdala doesn’t function right. That’s the fear center.
