VRV has Crunchyroll which is a ton of anime and on a lark, I figured I'd just check one out that I knew nothing about.  The title snagged me for obvious reasons.  It's about school girls - kogals - that get involved in this fight contest for the wish-granting platonic heart.  The themes are a lot like Sailor Moon, girly girls adoring with cute phone charms, eating a lot and grappling with issues of trust and friendship.  Stylistically its similar with the bright pastel colors and excessive lens flares, and lots of cityscapes.  One character is a temple maiden, akin to Sailor Mars.  And the villains, at least the first one, are caricature.  The first one is a airline stewardess who quips lines like 'fasten your seatbelts' with her attacks, akin to the wonderfully weird thematic daemons and such of Sailor Moon.  

Here's the thing - it's like softcore hentai.  Every fight scene has gratuitous upskirt panty shots and their clothes literally explode off their bodies with each blow.  The stewardess is rendered topless in graphic detail, nipples bursting from bouncing boobs.  There are actually several terms for bouncing boobs in anime.  In fact, there are whole glossaries.

bakunyuu 爆乳 explosive boobs
chikubi 乳首 nipple
te-bura 手ブラ  hand bra (covering exposed boobs with hands)
kami-bura 髪ブラ hair bra (as above with hair)
doyachichi どや乳 proud boobs (posturing to exaggerate boobs)


I could continue but I'm not sure I will.  Too kinky in that Japanese way.  And no octopus.  Not yet.

Skipped to the finale episode.  Wow, that was fucked up.  Almost ED or cf level fucked up.  

This was after 3 hours of trying to snake the damn sink.  Got the snake to penetrate as far as it went, but it's still clogged.

Oh, I did that.  Completely disassembled the trap.  That portion was clear.  The clog is past that.  It starts in the wall maybe a foot in.  I'm pulling up pitch black tar, perhaps the result of so many drain opener depth charges.  I'm snaking the pipe after the trap.  Come on now.  I'm no plumber but it's not my first rodeo.  

What puzzles me is that I got most of the snake in - it's not a long snake, maybe 10 ft, my dad's which I dug out of the garage last week.  It gets past a sticky point and then screws in quite freely. So I figured I punched a hole through the clog. I did that a couple of times, reassembled the pipes under the sink, and then hit it with a liquid drain opener to open it up more, but when I went to flush it with hot water, well, that water is still standing there in the sink now.

After a couple of hours on my knees, I gave up.  I'll try again next weekend maybe.

This is just because I didn't know what a sawzall was.  But I do now.  Not that it would help with my plumbing problems.

If you don't think a sawzall can help you with your plumbing problems, then you don't know the sawzall at all.

You could be cutting into the wall around the offending pipe and then cutting that pipe around the clog. Oh, the destruction you could unleash if you understood the sawzall. Why aren't they highlighting the sawzall on Men at Arms? That's the real question.

Dammit.  After two attempts, last Sunday and the Sunday prior, about three hours each, and at the cost of my left elbow which I hyper-extended in the tiny space between our tub and our bathroom sink, and who knows how much drain opener, Stacy finally called our landlord and he sent his plumber out.  Don the plumber, a grizzly handyman, got it in less than half an hour with just a snake. He didn't even disassemble the trap.  My plumbing skills have been shamed and I'm totally humbled.  



I am consoling myself by watching the Master of Martial Hearts trailer in slow mo and taking a shot for every gratuitous upskirt shot.

Fair question.  We pay remarkably low rent for this neighborhood and we just had our water heater redone, so Stacy felt it would be best not to trouble our landlords right away again.  There's a big rent control prop on the ballot here in the Cruz so landlords are tense.  We've been dealing with our own landlord issues being landlords ourselves with our Fremont house.  That's a whole other thread someday.  

I guess I'll need another naughty anime to get inspired to dish about that.  Hmmm, so many to choose from...

I thought you cancelled VRV.  Did you find another source for Upskirts and Away?  Or whatever it's called.  Or did I misunderstand?

If you still have VRV and haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend the CuriosityStream channel and the Lights of the Deep or whatever it's called, narrated by Attenborough, where some marine biologists go deep into the Monterey Bay trenches to observe all kinds of bioluminescence in critters.  There's even some fine upskirting of jellies. There's remarkable footage I don't recall seeing on the Netflix ocean documentaries.

I did cancel VRV. But you can find naughty anime anywhere on the web. Masters of Martial Hearts is on YouTube (might be censored there tho - YouTube used to have this issue with nipples and I suppose that applies to anime nipples).
