Dunkirk (2017)
#1
Yes, now I have to see the Darkest Hour.

It was a pretty mediocre war story. There was no big drastic bit at the end to wrap it all up. Basically, it's the boats are here. Let's go.

Maybe the film had more power on the big screen? You could tell some of the shots were supposed to super cinemascope but they just didn't play well on the TV. I had heard it compared to the first beach scene of Saving Private Ryan but over the course of an entire film. And initially I thought that was going to happen, but it didn't keep up. There were a lot of scenes of being in the and sailing to Dunkirk. there were a lot of fighter plane shots that were indistinguishable from the other fighter plane shots.

I did spend time to try and piece the three different time line together, but it just became a pain. For instance, Scene A plays and then Scene B plays, but in the timeline of the actually war Scene B actually came before Scene A.

It was a bit of a mess, I thought. Maybe there was too much hype in the feed and it didn't live up to it.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
