I made the serious mistake of getting on my bathroom scale. I knew I had some hard work ahead of me, but I didn't realize quite how much, or how long it was going to take to get back to where I want to be. Fortunately, I've been through this before and I know how to do it, but damn; this is not going to be fun.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
