"Rook" and "Stiletto" by O'Malley
#1
"Rook" is the first book and can stand alone or you can tune in for the next installment in "Stiletto". They are both "Urban Fantasy" with sooper-seekret gummint ministry (these are set in modern day Great Britain) that seeks to contain supernatural happenings and recruiting "talented" individuals (those born with paranormal powers) to be agents and soldiers. X-Men meets Torchwood meets Len Deighton.

Written with dry humour and a good eye for set-piece action sequences, they are both good fun. Recommended.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I’m currently reading Book 3 in this series; “Blitz.”
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
