Surprised to see there was not a thread for this. Finally got around to reading it. I assume you know the basic plot - there's another London inside/under this one, and a guy gets swept from his normal life into it. (Isn't there a Mieville book like this too? Which came first?)
I enjoyed it, but found not compelling at the beginning. I almost gave up at about page 30, and was not sure I would keep going until I got about a third of the way through. Then I was hooked. It was his first novel, so maybe that's why. Enjoyable, but not his best. I still think he's better working shorter.
