Captain Fantastic (2016)
#1
I recommended this movie to a coworker who usually watches violent action films. The next day he could not stop talking about it. It's one of those 'makes-you-think' movies.

[SPOILERS]

The film is about a well-educated man that moves his family into the woods to live "off the grid". His wife is absent for reasons explained later.

They hunt with bows and knives. They learn from books on science and sociology. They practice rock climbing and survivalism.

Then they are compelled to return to 'civilization'.

The film raises questions about indoctrination, education, morals, ethics, and basically the responsibility of a parent.

The movie should have ended 15 minutes earlier but it did the job of making one question the way we raise children ( coming from a childless reviewer).

I liked it, but it may be disturbing for some.
