I can't wait. Probably won't binge watch the entire season over the weekend.

Someone here *may* have interviewed a stuntman from DD, which just might go live on Friday, but you didn't hear it from me. ;-)

I was happy to see that they were trying to use The Raid as inspiration for their fight scenes.

I'm too old to watch the whole thing in one sitting.
I'm not rapturous about the whole thing but it's not bad. I am thinking of getting a fund raising campaign together to buy the director of cinematography some lights so we can actually see what is going on. I do like the long takes for the fight scenes but the darkness might be hiding a lot of sins. The first two episodes were pretty standard lets tell the back story fare and were pretty weak. Yes, there has been a lot of buzz about the exceptionally long fight scene but it didn't really blow me away. One of the problems so far is that since they feel they are telling a 13 hour movie, there is a tendency to let everything run on too long. The next two episodes are a bit tighter. More characters come into play, so we aren't spending the whole time watching Daredevil. I do like Donofrio as Wilson Fisk and I especially like his first lieutenant who oozes amorality and menace. The show could do with a bit of levity. If you have Netflix, it is worth a gander but I would reign in your expectations. No sword fights so far.

It is still one really long movie. You can't skip any.
Here my quibbles so far. Daredevil is not a very good fighter. He gets the crap kicked out of him all the time. He's not going to last long in the hero game if this keeps up. Even in the lesser fights, his opponents get a few good licks in before he defeats them. All the fights are shot still fought in too dark lighting. And the fight choreographer is very fond of the 360 degree spin kick. And why are we fighting so hard to preserve Hell's Kitchen? It's called Hell's Kitchen for a reason. It's supposed to be a shit hole. I get it that Daredevil is fighting to protect the people who live there, but would gentrification be all that bad for a slum? Some nights I'm on Wilson Fisk's side.

It's okay but I'm far from drinking the Marvel kool-aid. Our graphic artist comic-nerd Patrick filled me in on a ton of easter eggs, none of which I care in the least about because I'm just not that into comics. I like the actors. The scenes are very dark, which obscures the fight choreography in the same way a jiggly camera does. That's a shame because the fights seem to be fairly well choreographed, but maybe they are way off the mark - being so dark, it's hard to tell. Every episode has some thing that stretches my suspended belief too far, which is weird because I can accept other Marvel-belief-suspensions like Groot or Thor. Is it just because this one is trying to be real-er? I dunno.
It bugs me that Daredevil isn't more blind. That's what I luv about Zatoichi - he acts blind more. He stumbles into stuff. Daredevil, he can run through an alley at top speed. The only thing to let you know he's blind is his cane and glasses. That being said, I'm still watching it, mostly because I don't have another series that I'm that engaged in right now.

I was looking forward to this, but after looking at my reviews above I guess I forgot it was only a so-so show.
So, far it feels the same. Still really dark. I think there is a bit more humor. Daredevil is still losing fights. But the Punisher so far, has yet to be revealed. Although one scene in the Pawn shop was pretty good. I'm in. I want to see Luke Cage. I want to see Iron Fist.

I never finished season 1 but will jump in to see Elodie as Elektra.
Maybe. I had my finger hovering over the play button yesterday but then decided a nap would be more rewarding. Soon come....

It's all Punisher for the first four episodes. Elektra appears in episode 5 which I will be watching tonight.

I gave up on season 1 by ep 4. Just watched s2e1 and enjoyed the fight scenes. Good sanguinuous ultravi. Starting s2e2 now.

The stairwell fight in s2e3 was a thing of beauty. And Punisher wears a cool jacket.

We watched episode 7 last night. Something happened that I didn't think was going to happen. Quite the surprise, which is a good thing for jaded old me.

Just get to episodes 9 and 10 already. Finally, the show shifts in to high gear. So much going. So much plot. So much super hero sighing. So much gun play. So much ultra vi.

I looked in the other forums for a thread on this, but didn't find one. Hard to believe, but I'm sure the Magical Mods will make the universe whole again if such a thread exists elsewhere.
So. Finished S1 and am half way through S2. Donofrio was excellent as The Kingpin. I like a nuanced villain. The guy playing Foggy is really good, too. The fights were outstanding. Wikipedia doesn't say who did the fights. S2 is better than S1 what with Frank Castle and Elektra on the scene. I like the tie-ins with Luke Cage.
