My mind latches onto phrases and won't let them go. Like 'Thumbtacks on a cardboard cross' or 'shattered roses'
Today's phrase is: Smells like old bed sores.
You're welcome

What is that - a noseworm?
You know that I worked for a while as a lab pick-up carrier and my route was mostly old folks homes. Saw a body bag every week. I know that smell all too well.
Thanks Greg, thanks a lot.

I hate to be alone in my thoughts.
And, no, I did not know that detail from your sordid past.

In the great tradition of DOOM brothers hooking each other up with jobs, LB got me in on that gig. I can't remember how long I did it for now, but the lab was in San Jo and my route was Mtn View, s'vale and Paly. It was weird when my dad went into care because we looked at some of those places on my old route.

All I remember is LB, a bucket, and some body parts.
Or was that another friend who worked as a medic . . . ?

I'm looking for an analogy to describe film making.
Making a film is like preparing a fine dinner. And you start by collecting the seeds to grow the food.
Time to get back to matching the English translation to the Hungarian language interviews.

"It's like collecting mules, but you have never seen a mule." There, was that helpful?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

"It's like hearding cats when you're deaf."
Wish I'd never thought of that one. It's really fucking with my mind...

Making a film is like getting a fellow employee, the only one who was his own office and studio, with the most hardware and software of anyone in the building and no other task but to make videos, so isolated that it takes almost a week for anyone to notice that he went on vacation, to make a YouTube vid that you'll have to hold his hand every fucking step of the way and it'll still have to go through 3-5 versions until he gets it marginally right, and yet all he does is make afternoon coffee...and it's Yuban - horrible Yuban coffee.
Okay, that wasn't an analogy. It's my job.

It's too bad you don't know anyone else that can make videos for you......speaking of which, check your email.

You know how some people tell depressed people to cheer up or get over it?
Isn't that like telling a forest fire to quit it?

Ever since I installed the Creator's update to Windows 10, my wireless connection will not wake from sleep. This has been driving me nuts for a couple months. I've tried several supposed fixes, none of which has worked. Today I once more sought a solution and came upon a thread in a foreign language. I of course chose to have it translated.
Here's one of the translated comments in the thread:
"Updates have nothing to do with the bishop (I'll change my mother for a test)."

I've been working all day on various projects. And yet the calendar says it's Saturday.
My phrase for the day is:
"Don't thank me, blow me!"
I'm in a mood.
