Ooooo! Have fun storming the castle(s)!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

DC for 2 days. Air and Space museum was pretty impressive. Did 2 short visits. Since they were doing some modifications to the entrance, they moved the Columbia (Apollo 11 capsule) over to the other hall next to the Skylab and Apollo Soyuz mockups. It was in a corner behind some tape and the sign haphazardly stuck next to it. There was one other person looking at it. You could reach out and touch it. Pretty special. Monuments, Congressional building tour. Backyard of the White House. Tried Uber for the first time. Went out for dinner and some live music and had good experiences both times.

Paris for 3 days. Louvre, Latin Quarter, went to Montmartre for a walking tour. Saw the cafe from Amelie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Café_des_2_Moulins

Florence for about a week. Too many people. Meh food. Sore feet.

Rented a car and drove south. Hit Castello di Brolio (inventor of Chianti recipe) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castello_di_Brolio. (if you go, pay for the tour to see the family's museum), San Gimignano https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Gimignano, and Radda in Chianti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radda_in_Chianti

Stayed at a cottage in Radicofani in Tuscany for a week. Down the hill from the fortress: http://www.turismo.intoscana.it/allthing...-of-italy/. Definitely the best part of the trip. Nobody there. Quiet. Relaxed. Saw some wild boar. Ate some great food. Drank some great chianti.

Drove to Rome to visit some friends for a few days. There was a parade of people in costume, I think for the anniversary of the founding of Rome. Saw this multimedia archeology exhibit: http://www.palazzovalentini.it/domus-rom...ex-en.html

Also saw this great Mucha exhibit (playing along side a Barbie exhibit!): http://roma.repubblica.it/cronaca/2016/0...51857/1/#1

My sister would have loved it...

Then off to south London to visit some other friends. It was snowing when we got off the plane. Getting around was a bit of a drag, but we saw Dr. Faustus at the Duke of York theatre. Meh.

Saw Churchill's bunker, British Museum, and climbed out on St. Paul's cupola during a thunderstorm.

Back now. Tired. Have to sift through the trip pictures and get ready for work.
