I died once, briefly (during a long sneeze).  I glimpsed row upon row of desks, with exams and number 2 pencils atop them.

I was put 'under' for a procedure.

The doctor said this will take 30 minutes and then said you can go now.

That 30 minutes was nothing.

I base my meaning of 'Death' to that.

I've been put under several times for teeth extractions and had that same lack of awareness that time had passed. Very disorienting. I'm hoping death is more like propophol - just delicious, dreamless sleep. I'm hoping it's not sleep paralysis, where you're awake but can't move and terrified by the demon that's holding you down. Fortunately that doesn't happen to me very often!

That's a good one to have in your head. Much better than some of the earworms I've been stuck with lately. And I like you all enough not to mention the titles and jam them into your brains. (Actually, I would if it would get it out of mine, but it just doesn't work that way, damn it!)

It's 4:20. I am showered, shaved and ready to face the day. Too bad we aren't leaving for another hour and ten minutes. Ah, the dulcet tones of the I-20 will help me pass the time until departure to Shreveport.

Hey look at the tyme! Too bad I'm not in Dublin. At least the jet lag skewed me in the easier direction, waking up earlier instead of sleepless nights. Not going to shower or shave this morning, and I can only hear the ocean waves very faintly if I really listen. Otherwise it's so quiet and peaceful (unlike my Kilronan closet). I think I'll just lie here in my cozy warm bed until I have to get up to pee.

Hey look at the...wth? The forum records my 4:20 posts at 7:20. FAIL.

I'm not sure if I woke up at 4:20 this morning. If not, I woke soon after and debated if I should post here or try to get back to sleep. It was 5 by the time I finally looked (or as DOOMforum thinks, 8). I'm glad the Ireland reset me earlier than later.
