My Best Man Alan Alvarado's son, Nicholas 'Pumpkin' Alvardo was killed in a car crash this morning in Texas.
I spoke with Al and he's not in good shape. He called me because he didn't want me finding out somewhere else, despite the fact these calls are killing him. I'm hoping I can attend the funeral this week and show my respect.
I didn't know Nick, that well, I only saw at a few functions at Al's house, but he seemed like a young man that was finally putting it all together. He was a DJ, currently based in San Francisco and was starting to make a name for himself. He just finished an album and was out on tour when this happened.
