RIP Carol Doda

Sadly, I did not know she was even still alive, sequestered in some closet in my mind that read 'The Seventies". But she was still with us until today, dying at 78.

I never saw her, but I did see her signs as we drove lost through North Beach with my mother. I always wondered about her and the stamp she put on SF.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I used to see her around the neighborhood, a tiny, old woman with long, platinum hair (a wig, I assume) dressed colorfully and wearing trowels and trowels of make-up. Seemed nice enough.

I remember her from the ads on TV36 "The perfect 36". She was more in line with Dirty Harry's calibre, though.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
