Seven Days (South Korean 2007) by Won Shin-yeon

A lady defense lawyer who has never lost a case, and who gets unsavory types (including killers) off scot-free, finds the tables turned when her girl is kidnapped. This is one ugly film, where most of the suspense and conflict take the form of threats to do terrible things to the girl unless the lawyer performs certain tasks.

As if that weren't bad enough, the camera is bolted to an out-of-balance washing machine from the first to the last shot. Okay, so that's an exaggeration. I'm sure the cameraman was merely suffering a grand mal seizure throughout the production.

The only reason I am reviewing this here is to make mention of a remake to be released on October 9, 2015. Titled Jazbaa (lit. "Passion"), it stars Aishwarya Rai and Irrfan Khan.

I am not hopeful about this remake.
I'm nobody's pony.
