Clark Gregg, better known as Agent Coulson, wrote and direct a film about a former child star now agent as he struggles to finally achieve some success. I was under the impression that this was supposed to be a comedy. I was wrong.
It's a sad tale in the world of Child actors, producers and agents. It's probably a depiction of how America thinks Hollywood works rather than the actuality. At first it centers on Coulson and his attempt to get a job for a client but is scooped by another less than scrupulous agent. but it takes a very dark turn when Coulson gets a new client.
There is a great cast with sam Rockwell, Alison Janney, William H. Macey, and Felicty Huffman. It comes across as low budget. You can tell an actor is directing since the scenes go on too long in order to give the actors a chance to be all actory.
No swords fights. And oddly, some special effects.
