What better way to start St.Paddy's weekend than with a Flogging Molly show?
Downtown Oakland was hopping (as usual) so we bailed on the 40+ minute wait for a table at Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe for a spot in the 15-minute line at Xolo Taco's. I got the chile relleno stuffed burrito and we wolfed our food before heading over to The Fox.
After a relatively mellow opening band we were treated to an exceptionally lively Celtic-Punk set which had my 50 year-old butt pogoing like hip replacements were dispensed at 7-11. Set list here: Here
I bought the coveted "Cause we find ourselves in the same old place singing drunken lullabies" T-Shirt and staggered home. By "staggered" I mean drove, and sober because drinks at clubs are expensive.
