Chicken Little
#1
I missed this in theaters, as Bezilla didn't want to see it twice. I should have taken warning from this, but I had a lot of friends invest much life, career and sanity into the production.

It's really uneven. There is some terrific work in it from a purely technical perspective, and I like some characters here and there. But as a whole, it left me frustrated with the lack of attention to the details that would have made me care for the characters and their perdicaments. Not to mention, at the moments of greatest potential for emotional impact, they cheaped out with schlocky crap song re-dos of crappy schlock songs. They were seen coming from a mile off and didn't pay off.

And did I mention I don't LIKE disco music, nor do I find it humorous to have a character playing gay by being in love with disco shite and Barbara Streisand? Gimme a break.

I won't be suggesting this as evening viewing to Benzilla, nor do I think he'll bring it up. Madagascar? Sure. Chicken Little? Don't think so.

Sad, too. I wanted to find something to like, but got up just kinda angry. And glad that the executives in charge various bad story decisions along with adding songs by the latest talentless Disney music phenome all lost their effin' jobs and good riddance. Loser talentless animation hating cluelesss audience disrespecting mba skinbags. Get thee hence.

...Tara was a little intimidated I think. She thought it was going to be scary and was relieved when it wasn't. We both thought fish was amusing, but only slightly. Joan Cusack was good as the Ugly Duckling, but the character didn't go very far. I don't think we laughed at all. On the whole, got to agree with HK. Chicken Little sucked. It was a complete waste of time, but that's what you do when your kid is sick.
