Fascinating Indian film.
The base story is a couple of Indian journalists smuggle themselves into Afghanistan to interview Taliban soldiers. Apparently India supported the Taliban against the Russians, but withdrew their support when the Americans got involved.
These two journalists and their Afghanistan guide get kidnapped by a Taliban fighter trying to make his way to Pakistan. They bicker about who did what to whom but find common ground in music and cricket.
Seeing the current 'war on terror' told from the view of a local is riveting, but the main story is about how we are all the same. Religious and jingoistic rhetoric make us do terrible things.
Basically, you guys say nice things about Pink Floyd and we will all get along. Any blasphemy will be punished.
