This was probably awesome in 3D. It sort of worked for me, at least the beginning of the film did, but then it got a little bogged down at the end when Lurhman actually decided to tell the story and not just dazzle with crazy effects and colors. I never read the book.
No swordfights.

Book: Most overrated piece of Lit-Rich-Chure that I can recall. Never saw any movie version.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
