If you had a 3D printer in your home, what would you do with it?
As a more immediate question to DM, is T throwing away her braces every week or two and getting new ones??
I just read that braces is one of the early adopters of 3D printing technology, where new braces are periodically printed as the teeth change position.
Another early adopter is hearing aids, where they are printed to the shape of the customer's ear.
They're also getting heavily used in Hollywood -- for instance, to print a bunch of zombies.
All of this is based on an article I read in the Delta in-flight magazine.
