This is the first ticket I have bought for myself in years. YEARS. It was totally worth it. I really needed to get away for a few hours, to drown in a subwoofer and skank with a crowda strangers and rastas.
Yellowman remains a force of nature. At 57, after surviving Jamaica and cancer, he is still in fantastic shape - very physically fit. He never stopped his high energy dancing, replete with high stepping kicks and jumps. I managed to shake his hand before the show. I was front of stage until I got pushed back by the crowd, only to be used to support this rubenesque woman who was being dry-humped from behind by one of the stage hands. With a little sidestep, I was able to shift the amorous couple to my partner-in-crime, who had never seen Yellowman before and came at my behest. It was very Yellowman.
As for Moe's, it's tiny and really laid back. Santa Cruz knows how to party.
