Most of you know I am a huge Alan Parsons fan. I even followed them around on their West Coast tour in 1996.
My brother-in-law who lives near Reno (Sparks) picked up the ticket for me and did not disappoint. Center stage, at a table about 8 feet from the band. The crowd was a mix of prog-rock enthusiasts in Pink Floyd and Yes t-shirts and 'Street Vibrations' attendees in biker gear or Hawaiian shirts. Everyone was over 40.
The tour was called the 'Greatest Hits' tour which meant nothing because they play the 'Greatest Hits' every tour. "Games People Play", "Time", "I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You", "Eye in the Sky", "Don't Answer Me" etc.
The band took turns at lead vocals and the musicianship was top-notch. There were many standing ovations and many people in the line for a post-performance autograph.
Well worth the drive.
