It's the other movie about Hitchcock that came out last year. This one stars Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mira. The background to the story takes place over the course of making 'Psycho'. And you could argue that the story is more about Alma Hitchcock than it is about Alfred. At least Mirren seems to be playing a real person as opposed to Hopkins who's role as Alfred seems to very cartoonish.
But it is a fun film. Hitchcock is always lurking about, peering through blinds, or peepholes in dressing rooms. He has a lot interactions with a mysterious character upon which Psycho was based. Ralph Macchio pops in for a small cameo. I think this is the first project I've seen him in since Karate Kid 2.
The film was very enjoyable. Nicely shot. Lots of fun things happen. It does give a nice background tale to the making of Psycho, but I don't know how accurate that tale is.
No Bollywood Dance Number, but just look at Scarlett Johanson instead.
