Someone had to take the hit. Why did it have to be me? Oh, that's right. I live in eternal hope but I'm always greated with disapointment.
As a horror film, it was really dull. You'd think it would at least try to be scary. As an action adventure film, it was really dull. Not a lot of shooting. Not a lot of shooting. They loaded up on weapons, but there was a never a terrific gun battle. I did like the few moments when it slipped into first person shooter mode, but that lasted just a few minutes.
I think they tried for too much story. Failure. They made "The Rock" into a bad guy. He could have been a bad ass. Instead, just a bad guy. You don't pay the hero to be bad, idiots.
And the DVD really needed a good blooper reel. All it had were peons to how great the game is and how they are trying to stay truthful to the game. It did make me want to play the game, again. But I know how my hope will be rewarded.
It did have a good moment if you are paying attention, though. One of the guys in a wheel chair becomes a monster and the wheel chair is still attached. I liked that. Now about the other One hundred and ten minutes . .
