Olympic gold medalist Jordyn Wieber announced her retirement from elite gymnastics on Saturday.

“Gymnastics was an experience that that changed my life forever,” Wieber wrote in a blog post. “It will always be part of my life.”

Wieber, 19, won an Olympic team gold medal in 2012 as a member of the “Fierce Five” with Gabrielle Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross.

“That experience is something we will all share with one another for life,” Wieber wrote.

She also won the individual all-around title at the 2011 World Championships.

Wieber announced her retirement in a first-person story in The Players’ Tribune, the website founded by Derek Jeter to “present the voices of professional athletes.”

“My goal is to use my unique story and experiences to hopefully guide and inspire other young adults,” Wieber wrote.

Truth.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
