An Hk kung fu rom-com & Stephen Chow wannabe. The villain, named Spencer, was this tall black guy draped in a stars&stripes robe who reminded of one of my old kf brothers (also named Spencer). He kept saying "kung fu is out of date". Of course, there's Shaolin, to the rescue. The fights are very videogame. It's all about this kung fu competition to sell a power drink. The competitors are amusing - three shaolin kids, a luchador, a kung fu dude that always does the Karate Kid crane stance, twin hotties, a guy in a Hannibal mask, and so one. They could have been developed a lot more.
Anna (Miriam Yeung Chin-Wah) rises above the material at moments. Ekin Cheng is a cad and mediocre. There's some funny moments, but not enough to really watch this all the way through, unless you're me. No sword fights, but a decent Hotel Buffet fight.
