Here is the problem: I like Nick Frost and Simon Pegg but don't care for Seth Rogen. The film got bad reviews but it was an homage to a lot of '80s Sci Fi films foremost among them 'Star Wars'
It wasn't as bad a I thought it was going to be. I still don't like Rogen even dressed as an alien. The shout outs to your favorite films were fun. I liked the stuff they shot at Comic-Con because it all cut very close to home. I thought Bateman was good as the agent hunting down Paul and his two cohorts weren't bad either.
However, this disc was honked up. At one of the climactic battles towards the end, the DVD froze and refuse to play further. I eventually got it to work by skipping the bad chapter but I lost about two minutes of the picture. Then the picture lost sync with the soundtrack, so for a while, you could see guns being fired and then thirty seconds later, you could hear them go off. Then the picture and sound came back into sync, but still seemed like it was off by a few frames.
All in all, if it comes up on cable, you might watch it for a few seconds.
