It's a comedy without all that humor to slow things down.
Ed Helms plays a small town insurance adjustor who is going to the big city of Cedar Rapids for the first time. See? Cedar Rapids is considered the big city compared to Brown Valley. I think we had one laugh out loud laugh for the entire picture. It's a slice of life comedy in the vein of 'Little Miss Sunshine', another comedy without any comedy.
Well, Ed learns a valuable lesson through the process of awkward naked bathroom hugs, skinning dipping with Ann Heche, and some weird side trip to smoke crack at Rob Cordry's house. It's Ninety minutes I want back.
