It was a night to honor Gladys Knight, George Clooney, Amy Grant, Tania Leon and U2. I tuned in for U2. The other four segments were pretty good. I think the Amy Grant section had the best singers. The Gladys Knight section was the best. The George Clooney segment hosted by Julia Roberts in a dress covered with pictures of Clooney was funny and touching. Tania Leon is a classical composer and didn't do a lot for me.
The U2 section was horrible. Eddie Vedder sang the songs and they were not good. And they picked some of the wierdest choices to exemplify the band. Elevation? I'm blocking on the other two because I want to forget. (I just checked. It was One) They even cut some of the versus out (Old joke. The food was bad and there wasn't a lot of it) Sean Penn did the intros. It was all very disappointing and makes me want to see them in concert to get this bad taste out of my mouth.
