I just learned that Jackson Pollock used to live in the house across the street. I only missed him by about seventy years.

Sort of.

There is a show on NBC called Parenthood based on the old Steve Martin film. I caught the opening minute of the show because it was on the tale end of a show I had recorded.I caught a glimpse of a location I thought I recognized.

This couple were talking about getting married by this lake where the one had first proposed to the other. It was such a beautiful and magical place they had to hold the ceremony there.

The beautiful and magical setting was the fetid pond in the park near my house. I walk by it all the time. Beautiful and magical are not words I would use to describe it.
