Hancock

There was a good movie somewhere in the film. The first forty minutes of the film were very engaging and then it all went away. It was a good premise. Super Hero jerk. And it worked very well.

I think they needed to do a couple more rewrites on the film to fix up the story. they also needed to find a better Hero for Hancock to battle. Although his battles with himself were close. And maybe a little more time on his origin would have helped, too.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I'm sure, somewhere, there's some geek with an extensive story for each of these characters. As I was watching, I was wondering whether this exists in book form, and someone tried to selectively cut and paste from either one really good book or a dozen books in a series into a single screenplay, and the result was this.

Acting, as you'd expect from this trio, was great, and there were some great moments, lines. But the direction blew. What is it with too-close close-ups and the love affair with the shaky hand held camera? At one point, I turned to the glynch and asked when (the creature from) Cloverfield was going to be joining us.

Actually the true hero of this film was the glynch. He restrained himself from killing the idiots sitting behind us.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
