I assume the Yeti will be there for some if not all of it. I will attempt to be there Sunday the 6th for the Senior Men's Team Foil (gotta root for my teammates) and Thurs the 10th for the Vets Foil (although I may miss a bunch as I have a planning meeting in the afternoon...).

DIY: I'm just a spectator, but this is the first time I'm going to the nationals. Any other events that shouldn't be missed? Saber is always fun to watch during the olympics...

I usually recommend watching the team events (top four) for intensity and great crowd energy. The Veterans events are always good since you get a lot more technique and treachery with the reduced athleticism and that makes it more fun to watch. The vets have more presence and humour as well.

I was there all day Tuesday and will be there all day on Friday and Sunday. Already had a cameo from Mrs. LeRoi Bob.

Downtown San Jose sure has changed. It is all beige and boring now.

OK, I've done my time in the sanitized downtown SJ, with all of its clean, ungraffiti'd corporate beigeness.

Mistakes were made, lives were lost, but I think I learned a lot from this experience, mainly: Children are a renewable resource.
