...but mostly because of Cate Blanchett. She's a great villainess.

Honestly, I loved Raiders. Who didn't? I enjoyed Temple because I thought Kate Capshaw was hot and it had a spunky Asian sidekick fighting thuggies. I could relate to that. I liked Last Crusade because of Sean, but the ending was so stupid. The Holy Grail always evokes Monty Python for me, and it always will. After Raiders, I had already totally checked out of Indy flicks the same way I checked out of Star Wars. Of course, you park your brain outside. If you bring your brain into the theater, you will regret that. Indy is fluff. It's always been fluff. But it's fun fluff. As for this film, it has some fun moments for sure. It has some good self-reference, stuff you can see from miles away, but entertaining nonetheless. By the time the sword fight scene came, I was pretty satisfied and amused. Mrs. Dm liked it too. We'll probably both forget about it in a few more days, but it was diverting at the time.

Cate was a great villainess? Really? What cemented her greatness.

It was a tour of the action set pieces with a modicum of story to hold them together. It dared the audience to believe in the ludicrous stunts. I didn't live up to the dare. I was way out in the Nevada section. How could he live through the explosion? How could he make it down that river? I was done.

I almost had a little nap during the middle. And I can't wait for Indy V with Shia LeBeuf. He did an okay job, but not a lot of different notes. Why was he so angry? Why wasn't there more interplay between Mutt and Indy?

Maybe the excuse is the kids will eat it up and I'm too old to follow this particular myth? They needed more of the Janitor from "Scrubs", as well.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I enjoyed it. It was much better than I expected from the trailer. I think it was better than the second movie and almost as good as the third (although Connery as Jones Sr. made that movie).
