Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
#1
Darkly Dreaming Dexter is the foundation for the Showtime Series " Dexter". It's a procedural novel about serial killers taken from the serial killers mind. It's a high functioning serial killer who's foster father tried to install some sense of right and wrong in him. The only thing that really keeps Dexter in check is the advice from his Foster Father.

In the story, Dexter, who works for the morgue as blood splatter specialist, is on the trail of a serial killer who reminds Dexter of Dexter. Dexter does kill, but only bad guys. Dexter walks the fine line of admiring the serial killer's work and knowing he must catch the serial killer if he wants to help his foster sister advance in the police department. Towards the end, Dexter doesn't know which direction will have more positives.

This totally sounds like him.

PPFY & I....there's a nice ring to that. It'd make a good title for an Abba song.

Who knew it would take this long?

I'm glad you have a friend that sounds like a serial killer, I guess.

Oh, he's your friend now, too! I gave him your address and he said he would visit you very soon.
