The Picture Problem
#1
I know I always admonish you people to take pictures or post pictures or give me pictures, but I have come to radical conclusion about this whole picture businessl:I have made a terrible mistake. I have way too many pictures.

I've been attempting to clean up my box of pictures and get them into some sort of order. I've been doing it for about three weeks now. And there doesn't seem to be any end of them. To make matters worse, I continue to add to the pile. Just last Friday, I took another fifty pictures of the Dreamgirls set as they did lighting tests. (They look cool, in case you are interested) How the hell am I going to get ahead?

Actually, one of the things I've discovered is that I've started too late. My negatives from the eighties are starting to decay. I thought with the advent of safety film, this wouldn't be a problem. The films not that safe. The colors are starting to fade in the negatives and large white spots are starting to appear. If you haven't started to preserve your pictures, best start now. Or, wait, am I the only one with this problem?

My name is Greg. I have a problem.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I told a friend of mine about your project and she wanted to know how much I'd charge to do all of hers. Hmmm... that might be easier to manage than that other side-business idea I had, all I have to do is rent time on your scanner and computer and charge her that plus my time at $50 per hour, right? :-)
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
