Munich

Another feel good hit of the year.

I'm so happy that Spielberg has lost his capracorn mantel and is now one of our most provocative film makers. Or so say the ads. Didn't they see Terminal or Catch him if you can.

As usual it was technically brilliant. The story for me was so so. It didn't play with my emotions (in a good way) the way Schindler's List. I guess I never really got involved with the plight of the Israeli assasins. It's also true, Spielberg did try to show every one's point of view, but the film needs a villain. Yes there is the revenge motive, but the message of the movie is vengeance doesn't solve anything. A wierd conundrum.

There were some funny and some touching moments. There were some horribly suspenseful moments. It was a good film. I wouldn't say it was great. See it with Syriana as a great slit your wrists double bill.

The best moment of the film was when the ladies cel phone in front of me went off and she preteneded it didn't. It just got louder and louder until she skulked out.

The one really cool killer in Munich was David Craig, our next James Bond in Casino Royal.

He came across as a lethal killer in his role in Munich. Of all the people on the Israeli assasination, team, Craig was the one I believed could be a killer. Hopefully, the makers of Casino Royal will take note of what a badass he is in the film and incorporate it into Bond.

Oh, please, oh please oh please.
