“The series is a love letter to some of Headland’s favorite martial arts sagas and samurai films, like Come Drink with Me and Yojimbo, with a fighting style crafted after wushu.”
Leslye Headland is the series creator.

Ah, got it. I tried swapping the x in the commands. Didn’t work.

Thanks for the pro tip.

E3 is the creation story flashback for the twins. It’s those witches of dathomir again, and a pesky Jedi foursome. But now we know what happened and the game’s afoot. Let’s get on with some more lightsaber fights.

Still thoroughly enjoying this show. So much Jedi fun.

E4 - All the build up for the wookie Jedi kinda fell flat. Most of this ep was talky talk, although there was an early scene showing youngling lightsaber training that made another form canon. The rest of the ep was unremarkable. But at the end, we see that reveal from trailer - that red lightsaber.

E5 was basically all fight scene. Several overlapping fights - lightsaber, hand-2-hand, and a lot of force shoving. The fight choreo is ok - plenty of longer complex sequences - although the lightsabers are distracting as always so it takes some concentration to follow the action. My fav sequence is when SPOILER ALERT the Sith lightsaber skewers one young Jedi and then force pulls another young Jedi on to the lightsaber point jutting from the other Jedi's back - a Jedi shish kabob END SPOILER

The Sith is revealed to be Jason from The Good Place. I did not see that coming.

Plus there's a lot of death. Almost all the new young Jedi that have been introduced so far get lightsabered, some rather viciously, especially the two lead young Jedis, one of whom I was rather fond of. Did not see that coming either.

Good ep. A payout ep. Crossed the halfway point and headed to the homestretch (only 8 eps and they're only 25 mins long).

E6 was a talky ep with some backstory reveals. What is up with these force masters and their desolate ocean islands? This ep seemed to be more of a filler ep, bridging what will hopefully be another big action piece next week.
