This tempted me for a second, but I'm quickly reminded that I find Zack films tiresome (yeah, I'll still watch this tho).

I predict that Rebel Moon will be visually stunning, yet vacuous. And yeah, I'm totally tuning in for it tonight. But my expectations are low. Very low.

I thought 300 was very good, but yes, his output has been tiresome.
I'm watching, but I don't know when.
And the idea that he is going to release the much more explicit, longer Snyder cut in the near future just strikes me as odd. Why not make the movie you are going to make?

That's Snyder's style, I guess. He's the king of 'if you think the first movie was long, check out the even more self indulgent director's cut.'
As for me, I'm still stinging from Sucker Punch. Gorgeous movie - great concept (sword hawties amuck) - but no plot whatsoever.
Meanwhile, back on topic here:

Never saw Sucker Punch because of all the negative reviews.

Sucker Punch laid it all out in the title. I still have ptsd from that film.

There's an article on The Atlantic today titled, "Zack Snyder, the Director People Love to Hate." I skimmed it and he sounds kind of like a dick. No mention of Sucker Punch.

The Beekeeper
Ordinarily I'd make an effort for this one just to get that first screener of the year under my belt but I have other plans for that evening already plus I've had my fill of Statham for January already after Meg 2.

I'm thinking Beekeeper would be better than Meg 2. I can wait for this one to appear in my house.
