Took an alternate route out. It was much longer but I was never stopped by traffic so I felt better about it. 

Beyoncé is still impressive but I feel she can never top that Oakland show I saw. Nevertheless Brava!

I had a cool crew - a recent nurse grad who was around my age, a new nursing student, and a sacto EMT who was married to a nurse. We had 2 radios and I let them carry them because it checked off their radio skills one their newbie cards. I carried the jump pack which was heavy but it made me feel like I was doing something. We were stationed on the main concourse at the 50 yard line.

We got our first call right when beyonce took the stage. Etoh gal (6 tequila shots) with her husband at the 501 jeans bar which I’ve never been in before. Jeans display on the wall. Couldn’t see the stage from there. The husband was making fun on his nonresponsive wife, taking videos and sending them to his mom-in-law. We got them back to medical.

While in medical we got the shroom call. I was told to stay. He was mild, tractable and very manageable, past his peak. It was a couple from Brazil who kept speaking Portuguese from sf. She was dressed in distractingly provocative silver. We got them out to their ride home then returned to the show to watch the last half hour or so. 

Beyonce delivered. Insane dancers, incredible set and costume changes, a high wire act and that voice. She’s still got an amazing voice. And the moves. She bested all of her crazy dancers. Absolutely gorgeous. However I’ve grown away from her sound. It’s too experimental for me now. Maybe I’m old but give me her old crooning classics. Give me Halo.

It was a fun fulfilling night. 4 miles. Felt like more because I was standing all night.

The silver horse appeared for the penultimate song. It rose up from stage with Beyonce mounted on it, and then was lifted into the air suspended by four cables on the corners of the football field. It was carried to the central glory stage, a circular platform inside a huge ring of a glory ramp (with top tier patrons inside the circle), where it was set down and remained until the end of the show. Beyonce was lifted by herself afterwards, suspended by the same wire rigging, and she floated around the stadium giving thanks to her musicians and dancers. It was a silvery spectacle that was something to behold.
