I started to move it but got interrupted and forgot to finish it.
Getting so many interruptions lately that it's hard to finish anything. I got too many side hustles. Actually it's mostly TCEC.

If only...
But this isn't the appropriate thread to discuss TCEC, is it?

No, it should be in the Mercinret not a fucking moon gathering thread.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

S6e1 Joan is awful
Brilliant. A piercing commentary on ai, deep fakes, the Droste effect, and … Netflix. And Salma rocks. Huge fan ever since I got close enough to smell her - she has magical pheromones I think. iRL. Brava!
I totally enjoyed this ep and even lol-Ed a few times. I luv this show. All in for s6.
Absolutely D00M recommended.

Crap.
I've been looking forward to the new series. But Netflix sharing ended just before. When we were required to validate our location, LCF notified her brother in Idaho. Then he cancelled, and we went down with the ship.
I'm nobody's pony.

Bummer. Maybe get your own service? Or better yet, get Streamberry. Yeah, that won't make a lick of sense until you tap into Black Mirror, season 6.
E2 Loch Henry was dark. Not at all funny. Grisly, yet not graphic. It's all in the implications. There's one big twist but it's not thought provoking sci fi, just a bleak tale of a serial killer. It makes some commentary about documentary filmmaking, but it's not satirical, just sad. Didn't enjoy this one that much, but S6E1 was so good, we'll allow for it.

E3 was another dark ep. It’s the longest of this season, nearly an hour and a half, and I found the ending somewhat predictable after the first half hour or so. 2001 open the pod bay doors Hal meets avatar (which is a horrendously bad description but it’ll make sense after you see it)
I think i like the funny ones better, especially if they have Salma Hayek.

E4 was a classic horror tale told from the perspective of a paparazzi. Rather unimpressive. Only one ep left. So far, it’s been all about s6e1. E3 was good too. E2&4 meh.

Of all that I hear Ep01 is the only one I want to see. On that note, I caught bits of Bandidas starring Ms. Hayak and Penelope Cruz as two Mexican bank robbers back at the turn of the 20th Century. Dwight Yoakam plays the bad guy. So campy.

E5 was good. It starts out in the style of a classic Hammer gothic horror. Set in the UK in '79, it stars Anjana Vasan, who I loved in We Are Lady Parts. It begins as a somewhat cliched demon summoning tale, but then takes a sharp Black Mirror left when the demon manifests. There's a comment made about racism, but that's just an underlying set up for what happens. Twas another funny one. I guess I just like the funny ones.
Final analysis:
Totally D00M recommended: E1 Joan is Awful
D00M recommended: E2 Demon 79
D00M mildly suggested: E3 Beyond the Sea

Joan is Awful is terrific. Even though I have never smelled Ms. Hayak, she did a great job. The episode was very Meta. Even Michael Cera does a good job. And I really liked where the show went. I wonder how much that other big name actor got paid?
