Sheltering in Place
I could see through to the coast range hills where the sun shone upon them through a break in the clouds. The hills are covered in snow.

They are about a hundred miles away so I can't take a photograph to do them justice. But I can keep glimpsing them out the kitchen window when the clouds part enough to allow sunlight.

Snow all around on the hills this morning, even the low ones by Saratoga and Cupertino. My office is a bit colder than usual.

My plan for this morning is to take pictures of all the snow covering the Lair. Then it will be a day of hunkering down and SIP.

I finished my Den interview yesterday - it was Q&A format, which is quick for me. Interview at 10:30 - article submitted by 3:30 - edits approved by 4:30. It was a rush job for Aden’s next print edition and I’m pleased that I can still hustle for a deadline.

Had an extended dog parkn because Stacy was seeing a client at our bungalow (she only does that for one person, my JAH Med psych supervising accomplice Sarah) so Yuki and I had to stay out an extra hour. There were few dogs to be found at either Chanticleer or Star so we went to the beach and harbor for walkies. Twas nice.

955.272: Sun is shining now so it’ll be a brisk morning of Kung Fu, then maybe a hot bath, then maybe loafing about until dog parkn time. I may do some work, stuff I put off to get yesterday’s article out, or I may just loaf.

Went to Voyager for coffee and breakfast. Now going to Ikea to buy a teapot. I should probably sweep up the patio. Maybe I'll take a nap later.

956.273: Yoga, then maybe head to my mom’s depending on what hwy17 looks like. It’s raining now but it’ll be raining harder tomorrow, so I might swap. Gotta check on the fence mend, grab the wifi unit to exchange it (it’s in Stacy’s name so I can’t do it), and pay my mom’s care for next month. Either I’ll do that or work and do laundry like most Sundays.

Ran the fallen tree gauntlet to the grocery store. It turns out dying trees don't like to have a lot of snow on their branches. Then it's a lot of brisket cutting for beef jerky. The Queen has needs dammit.

957.274: I made my run to svale yesterday so I can just hunker down in the Cruz for the week. Also I put off work and laundry until today. I have one telemeet. Plus I gotta figure out dog walkn in the rain. Yuki don’t like rain.

I'm with Yuki. Another morning walk abandoned because of excessive airborne percipitatation.

Back to work. I left my umbrella there Friday, but it looks like it won't rain here until later.
